That's a bummer alright. The only thing I can think of is to change data vendors so you can dictate which symbols you want.

I get my data in Metastock format, which WOW loves. I periodically go through every blessed chart I have (nearly 3000) just to check for splits, garbage data, or stuff that has stopped trading for whatever reason. I'm constantly dumping symbols that become junk.

That satellite problem last week caused some bad data feeds on some symbols on May 20. Be alert for that.

It is good that you have identified the problem as infrequently traded stocks are interpreted as weekly... The WOWdt program has problems importing data from infrequently traded stocks, but it just crashes when they are included. I sort the files by file size and then delete the little ones to avoid the problem. Hopefully, their next upgrade will fix this problem. You should document the problem you are having to tech support.
