i was surprised by Orckit's action the past three days given the overall market. it appears a new class of shareholder is coming aboard; there isn't the terminally ill buy up to $24 dump to $18, buy to $20, dump to $18, buy to $22, dump to $18, etc. just possibly the market will take orckit even more serious with the sweden contract. you'd have thought the GTE/AOL contract would have been substantially enough. Orckit still has contract trials in latin america yet to announce. any information as to how the trials in latin america are doing? is telemex, chile, or brazil involved? they did not specify which countries were specifically involved or the telephone companies. interestingly, i suspect europe will substantially (financially) jump on the adsl wagon before the US as they seem ripe for a leapfrog in this area as they've done in other telecommunication projects.
