Bleeker,

If you wish to believe that Eidos reported 4th qtr pre-tax earnings of .20 (the way I read your original post), fine. It's not the way I view it, but each to his own. As to non-recurring items, if Eidos discontinues the activities of Naked Records Ltd. again next quarter, I will join in your misgivings. Finally, not that it really matters, but I do not see how the stock's price at the close today says anything conclusively about whether eps were perceived by investors to be .20 or .26. It is conceivable to me that investors could have taken the same actions to, for instance, sell on the news, sell in the general market downdraft, sell on disappointing results, etc. in either case. My guess is that a .06 (23%) miss would have been more severely punished, but I do not know. About whisper numbers I can't even guess.

As to whether or not you take what is reported on CNBC as dogma, whether or not you trade with a t.v., and whether or not you miss out on Seinfeld -- these are not issues about which I have, or am likely to form, an opinion. But thanks for sharing.
