Jim,
I was curious about the buying too. FWIW...I just got off the phone with a local Quick and Riley manager, now he has not checked with other offices, but lots of retail buying coming in today and some equity call buying.I tried the oex 540 calls today but I was too cheap and didn't get filled. The dipsters and the public do not look at the indicators and the divergences like we do...that's all going to take a lot more time to unfold than two volatile days.My "psych" indicators have been more reliable than what I see in the technicals.Who would bet that everytime a chart hits the 50 dma that it automatically has to rally?<VBG>Heck!I was taught that a breach of the 30 and 50 day was trouble!;)It's so crazy,I have no idea why I am remaining so calm?
Regards,
Barbara

James, I was out of town most of afternoon
and come back to see the markets almost
completely recover!! Yet, after downloading
a few minutes ago the market internals look
as bad if not worse than yesterday!

New Highs New Lows Advances Declines Unchanged

NYSE 17 177 872 2168 461
AMEX 9 35 142 446 145
NASDAQ 37 427 1154 3215 1242

Monty

PS Haven't looked at UP/DOWN Volume yet but
I suspect it looks as bad! Yet, the charts
say we will be up tommorrow.
