Leroy this should get you started

You might read the white paper of last year if someone can dig it up. It was or is on Microsofts web site. It explains some of what Microsoft would like to have. I don't have it bookmarked & it may be @ Wstls web site. Ill look later

<Amati's DMT technology has been selected by both the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI) as the standard for ADSL equipment.>

You may want to look around here

from

aware.com

<Finally, what this significance of Dell PC'S having CAP based options. Is that Cisco's?>

This is the line code that Wstl has trialed for a couple of years

@ least Ive got myself convince this is significant <g>

<It has the capability to support Discrete Multi-Tone (DMT) rate adaptive digital subscriber lines and Carrierless Amplitude Phase Modulation (CAP) rate adaptive digital subscriber lines, giving network operators the flexibility to configure their SuperVision shelf according to their customers' needs and network services required.>
