Gary, It would definitely be interesting to see what the various discount and full service brokers indicate on the subject of shorting marginable securities. I am certain that Etrade indicated to me that its policy is not to loan securities to MM which are not marginable (ie, under $5). This would thus include both MIDL and MIDLW (but not MIDLP). I encourage others to verify this with Etrade (800-786-2575) as well as their own brokers. Obviously you are the "Master of DD"; however, I needed to pass on this information for the purposes of accuracy and to reduce confusion (hopefully). Regards, Mark
