Irby, hopefully you covered those shorts.... :)
What an intense market today! If you are a day trader and you didnt make money today, you should start considering a different strategy.
Trin tick and volume was perfect for a rally and the futures lead that buy program so the dow almost got even...a 180 point rally in about 90 minutes i think...intense...

**Chat Session Notice - OTC/Listed Trading, Watching the tape, Screemcams, Image Examples

We will be hosting a Special Event Chat Session, this
Sunday, May 31st, 6pm, eastern time, in our free chatsite
at yamner.com

We will be discussing OTC and Listed Trading, utilizing two files
found at yamner.com as examples.
One is a graphics image of times and sales and quote screen from a listed stock. The other file is a Lotus Screencam (~3mb)of some market action from yesterdays markets. The SCreencam file, once unzipped, provides 'video' coverage of yesterday's market action from our Quotron AE screen. Please excuse any rough edges in the file as the Screencam recorder is a memory and resource pig on my end and thus makes the quote services a bit choppy, etc. The second file is a GIF image of times and sales. They are the first two files on the page, clearly marked.

The session will explain tape action, market maker movements (if any clarity can be developed) as well as movements in the TRIN, TICK and other leading indicators guiding the markets. As well, we can discuss any other issues that are appropriate.

If you are interested in attending, please download these two files from the site. Please spend a few minutes looking at them so that you have a reasonable understanding of the content before the session begins.

As well, our chat site has a registration process which takes about 5 minutes to email you a validated password. Please download and register on the chatsite ahead of time. yamner.com. This will be a moderated session with ample question and answer opportunity. The room only holds 100 visitors so please arrive early to ensure your spot.

Unfortunately, I do not know if Lotus supports players for operating systems outside of windows machines...I apologize but we are limited by technologies currently available. Any problems regarding the Screencam files, please see lotus.com.

The session should last approximately 90 minutes.

Hope to see you there....
Regards,
Steve@yamner.com

Chip's Charts

Here is a neat free site for graphs showing the overall trends in the market. It can be useful as a backdrop for day trading decisions.
