WFS, Isn't Franklin Lake near Death Valley Junction? You can use Yahoo Maps and select the point to point option, then input Las Vegas and Death Valley Junction and select <drive it>. It gives you route #'s, turns and mileage. From there you are on your own<g>.
Have fun and save some slot machine quarters for some MINE<VBG>.

Good luck

W.F.:

Take 160 out of Las Vegas going to Pahrump. Once in Pahrump you can stop on the main drag and ask for the West bound road that will connect you to Death Valley Junction. My map doesn't indicate the road number. The DVJ office is right across the street from the Opera House and Ice Cream Parlor. You can't miss it. The temperatures are hot this time of year. Have an enjoyable trip.

Regards,

Kim W.

And the office is the one on wheels, American made, Canadian license plates, with "California gold or bust" written on the back window...
