I'll say to you what has been said earlier to others: GET REAL,
Bernard Schwartz a treasonous, poisonous traitor? Yeah, and Newt Gingrich and all his fellow Republicans who are out to bury Bernie
are not interested in the White House over any dead Democrat's body.
If you think he or Loral is treasonous then sell your stock and go
creep around somewhere else. We're concerned about the future of world telecommunications here. Go sell elsewhere your concern with what Bill does with his penis.

Loral did do something wrong: They let the chinese have a copy of a report that analyzed an earlier chinese report on what went wrong with a rocket that exploded. However, there was no technology transferred and Loral told the state department what had happened as well as delivered a copy of said report over 18 months ago!.

This has all been vetted out in recent posts on this thread:

ICKES URGED PRESIDENT TO PRESSURE LORAL TO HELP RAISE $ 3 MILLION

THE WASHINGTON TIMES - May 28, 1998

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Harold Ickes urged President Clinton in two 1994 memos to pressure officials at Loral Space and Communications to help raise $ 3 million in "soft money" donations for the Democratic Party.

The memos document efforts by Mr. Ickes, who left the administration in 1997, to put Mr. Clinton and Loral CEO Bernard L. Schwartz together to discuss the party's urgent need for political donations, according to law enforcement sources who have reviewed the papers (...) ----

I guess I would like to believe B.S. because I believe in his business savvy. I certainly am open to the evidence. Some on this board seem to not care if they did transfer info to China, just as long as their stock doesn't drop. But Loral is more than just B.S. there are others there who will carry out the business plan.

Diane -

Am open to evidence, but have not seen any yet. What is the specific technology that was passed to the Chinese? A confirmation that a low-tech solder issue was the root cause of the failure? Or are you alleging that there was additional technical supplied? I guess I tend to believe Bernie for a couple of reasons: 1) A person is innocent until proven guilty; and 2) What would his motive be? Why on earth would he risk his considerable reputation and his livelihood to materially assist the Chinese military thrust? Money? You think he doesn't have enough already? There is NO motive here that I can see. If you detect one, please educate me. Thanks.

"...so much evidence against them"? Would you detail your "evidence?"
