In what kind of situation? The only time I've had a problem is in a fast moving market, and even then I get complete fills close to 100% of the time (getting a fill in a fast moving market is another story). That includes getting partials on ARCA which doesn't cost more for partials. In other words, in a fast moving market, you could get a fill for 500, then 300, then 200 to complete your 1000 order. Once in awhile the market moves away from my order and I'm left not completely filled. But it's not very often.

Saytr,

I trade through MB Trading, every day.

The executions are awesome. I have only gotten two or three partials in a little over 5 months of trading with MB.

The weakest link in the system is the user.

The trading tools are wicked, and i love them, but that doesn't mean you can't get into trouble.

It is entirely possible for you to open an account, get into some of the most violent, absurd, mania driven stock moves seen in years, and then wonder why you had trouble getting a fill.

I get one two and three second execution / confirmation on a consistent basis. Moving 500 or 1000 shares is especially easy to do.

I also cancel lots of live orders, get two live orders out on a stock at once, all kinds of tricks to get what I want.

Very often I have a live order out on the bid or ask for ten or fifteen minutes, my order is buried down in the level II stack, and as the market moves toward me, I watch my bid or ask rise to the top of the stack and finally get to the inside market and then filled. Sometimes the market never gets to me and I try another tactic. Some times I patiently wait until my bid makes the inside only to need one more seller to get me filled, and that seller never comes and the price moves back up away from me, then i can hit the ask, or just let it go up without me.

There are many ways to use the MB Trading set-up. I believe the MB Trading package could be of value to traders of varied styles.

Satyr, these tools are the best available at this time, in my biased opinion, but they are still only as good as the trader.

If you do not get enough responses on this thread, I would encourage you to get on IRC and ask around. By just poking your head in to the chat rooms and asking, you will be sure to hear from some traders. It won't cost you anything but a little time and effort.

good luck with your trades,

funk
