Does the following reveal a market timing nature to DPMI's management methods? (and infer they feel whereas the stock price was overvalued in the mid to upper 50s, it is now undervalued in the mid 40s!). Nevertheless, I'm still hoping for a pullback into the upper 30s before joining everyone taking a ride on the long side...

DuPont Photomasks delays stock offering

ROUND ROCK, Texas, May 28 (Reuters) - DuPont Photomasks Inc. said Thursday it had decided to postpone a public stock offering due to adverse market conditions for the technology sector.

The company, more commonly referred to as DPI, early in May had announced plans to offer nearly three million shares of common stock to raise money for general corporate purposes.

A spokewoman for the company declined to elaborate on the statement.

DuPont Photomasks, which makes photomasks, photoblanks and pellicles, saw its stock close 5/32 higher at 45 on the Nasdaq market.

On May 12, the company said it was going to offer 2.7 million shares, with E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. (DD - news) selling most of the amount to reduce its stake in it.

Technology stocks have been under pressure amid investor worries about lower second-quarter earnings amid fierce competition in the United States and a financial crisis in Asia.
