In the South Beach (Miami) area, the cable company (CableVision) supplies the modem - user supplies a 10T network card - charge $39.95/month.

If you dont have a Social Security # (like me) they want a $200 deposit on the modem.

I haven't tried it yet.

<<<You have to buy a separate cable modem and they are about $300., this is what I'm waiting for in my area. From what I understand it is super fast. >>>

I guess it depends on the service. My modem is included with the service, as is the (ethernet?) card. $39.95/month covers it all, which reallyh isn't that much more than a standard ISP if you ran a dedicated phone line for the ISP.
