As part of a short vacation in Central Florida we visited the Backyard Bar-B-Q location in Kissimee. I couldn't expand on the well written, detailed description of the restaurant at post #33. Jay was right on the money. Ironically (see Jay's post) we had the pulled pork sandwich and thought it was excellent so they probably were able to improve on the recipe. All four of the sauces were excellent. Most of the customers were locals so it appears the word has gotten around on the quality of the food (rather than just going once for the novel atmosphere). We also saw a lot of smiles (in addition to the redneck decor, Jeff's hilarious CD's are played).

I spoke with the manager/cook/promoter Bill Galvin and he is as enthusiastic about the future of the restaurants as president David Womack. He says he puts in 18 hour days both working at the restaurant and outside promoting it.

One thing I will add is that it is obvious a lot of time and effort went into this first restaurant's opening. With the Redneck Foods products available for sale (in addition to Jeff's CD's, T-shirts, etc.), the clever atmosphere and quality of food and sauces, it would appear that this was the twentieth restaurant to open and not the first. They obviously worked hard in spring training and came "ready to play" on opening day! I think the new franchisees will have fun with these restaurants. I'm sure they will put their own personal "redneck touch" on each one.

I believe RDNK is a keeper. Good luck to those who are long RDNK and to those who are considering purchasing shares.
