TX,

Really a weird day for the market, eh? Overcame my market paralysis and tried to get back into PAIR today. Set the limit price too low, though. Also, by the time I got the order in, sentiment had swung back to the buy side. Maybe it will come back down within range tomorrow.

PAIR is a great value here (15-15 1/2). They have limited Asian exposure, have just announced a new line of value-added HDSL products, and since TELCOS must supply facilities on demand, they have to install these devices regardless of economic problems in the rest of the world. Buy PAIR for HDSL and pair-gain products......forget about ADSL for now.....HDSL will only become a hot product if and when the TELCOS so decide.

Also taking a hard look at ASYT. This is one of AV's favorites. How low can it go? Is it a great buy right now? Suspect AV can answer these questions for us.

Also wondering about the Asian flu........if certain countries are so cash-poor that they can't upgrade semiconductor infrastructure, this eventually has to have a positive impact on certain American semi manufacturing companies. But which ones????.......and how can we position ourselves to make money off of this? (Guess who these questions are targeted for).

Regards,

Knip

Likely bear in the ointment. I just heard NATO is moving armor into Macedonia.

Have not found a link as yet.
