Manish, I'll get back to you tonight. Busy at work.

I just cleared all my longs from yesterday. I've got lots of work to do and must lock in profit to concentrate on work.

A good shorting opportunity should be coming up again, early next week.

Long only LHSPF now.

Clint

Hi Manish.

>>>Are you carrying short term positions into the next day?
I did on Wed. but exited on Thurs, as I posted. I expected a good
market on Thurs so I didn't want to sell too early. True assumption on all with the exception of YHOO. Still good profit.

Most of my trading strategy relies on timing the market. I think you can make good money in short-term trading if you can time the market and pick the right stocks.

As a rule, when I am VERY confident that the market will be going my way I buy a basket of stocks. Otherwise, I just take one or two positions. If you look at my trading history, you will see the pattern.

Also, when I get busy at work I try to stay off the market.

>>>My tendency is to cut and run to avoid being blindsided by
>>>some earnings warning.
I have done the same in the past and I agree with you. Will do mostly the same from now on.

On LHSPF, there was no news. I think they had kept it low for a while perhaps because of this:

biz.yahoo.com

I got in on Thurs at 49-3/4 and out on Friday at 55.

Later;

Clint

PS, I read some stuff about CS a while back. I'll post later.
