patrick,
haven't looked at the sp8m chart, but i believe you have something there with the point of mass confusion. when people dont have a decent feel for direction they tend to trade more often. whipsawing in and out of positions. i may not be typical of most traders, but my neck hurts today.

for some dumb reason i bought some dell long late tues. by wed am i was down 4 bucks and thinking of selling to minimize the loss. i was expecting a bounce in the pm ( not nearly the maginitude that we got though) and hopefully some follow thru on trs to bail me out. to make a short story longer, i sold for a profit late wed. plan on going short trs or fri. forget the long side. its almost unfair how the big caps get all the funds on that rally. small caps did squat compared to the biggies. this market is a traders paradise if you can get in on the right direction. you gotta love the volitility.
