Cars and other OT stuff

I'm not as much into speed as I used to be. I think the clincher was either a Firebird or a Camaro. One of them has a bear of a spark plug to remove. That was it for me. I don't even wash the car myself anymore.

The BMW I bought brand new in '85. Runs like a bat out of hell when I have it in Canada. Talk about miles and miles of miles and miles. I can't tell you how many times on the Trans Canadian I've glanced down and shocked myself to see the speedo cruising over a buck 30.

But the oldest will be hitting driving age soon and he wants it. I dumped my other car, a Firebird, a couple of months ago. With a family of 5 I have to move up to a 7 I guess, so there goes my stick shift.

So my need to juice the car up extends only as far as ArmorAll on the blackwalls, I guess.

However! I do have a '57 T-Bird to satisfy the occasional need to break out of the family mode. 312 with a Holley 4-bbl. Moves pretty well for a car older than most people in the world.
