Gary is on a sinking ship: SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Top Silicon Valley investment banker Sanford Robertson plans to start a new investment bank that would compete directly with his Robertson Stephens & Co. after its sale to BankBoston Corp. (BKB) by current owner BankAmerica Corp. (BAC), The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. Robertson's departure isn't expected to change the terms of the sale, but it could affect the long-term value of the firm, the Journal said. (The Wall Street Journal)
