I would guess it's possible that it may drive PC sales. However, the fix for most PC's is a simple off-the-shelf upgrade to the bios, either a software fix, or a simple hardware replacement. Much, Much, Much cheaper than replacing the whole systems. I would be interested in reading the survey that you refer to. I know that companies that I do business with have been requiring all new PC's that come in the door to be Y2K compliant for at least the last two years. I think a place that is likely to see more sales are companies that can deal with the embedded chip problem. This is much more serious, and costly. I'm just not sure that there is business for them at the consumer level. JSI
