Management Group Limited Clients
MISSISSAUGA, ON (May 28) BUSINESS WIRE -May 28, 1998--Transformation
Processing Inc. (TPI and OTCBB:TPII) announced today that PROFAC
Management Group Limited has expanded its agreement with TPI to provide
Year 2000 Non-IT / Embedded Building Systems services to two additional
PROFAC clients.
An embedded system is the code that is built into special purpose
microchips that inhabit just about every modern electronic device. They
are found in power plants, manufacturing facilities, water and sewage
systems, medical devices and military equipment. The list also includes
planes, trains, ships, automobiles, elevators, telephones, alarm
systems and a multitude of other equipment devices.
PROFAC has selected TPI for its Embedded Building Systems Year 2000
project on behalf of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), one
of Canada's largest national broadcasting companies. PROFAC manages 53
CBC sites across Canada.
PROFAC has also selected TPI for its Embedded Building Systems Year
2000 project on behalf of a Canadian-based international hotel chain,
with 29 sites across Canada.
Previously PROFAC contracted TPI to provide an Embedded Building
Systems Year 2000 solution on behalf of one of its largest clients, a
Canadian federal crown corporation with over 600 facilities.
PROFAC Management Group Limited of Montreal is one of Canada's premier
facilities management companies. In total, PROFAC manages over 3,000
facilities on behalf of its clients.
"The ability to rapidly assess and remediate information and building
systems relative to the year 2000 and other date compliancy issues is
critical to long-term business success," stated Dr. Mark Burfield,
TPI's vice president of Professional Services.
Sensing an acute market requirement for an answer for Non-IT Embedded
systems, TPI has developed a complete solution to address embedded
systems, firmware and supply chain management.
