Thomas to answer your question very briefly..."How strong is the Indian Union?" I personally have never met an Indian, in my large acquaintence of Indians, who agrees me with the centrifugal forces at work in Indian politics. Indians are Indians. India is a country of Indians. One country. Indivisable. Bas. The point to the Punjab and to Kashmir and Indians say..."See. This is the price we pay to remain one country."

I would say I am a lonely voice predicting the devolution of the Indian Union... I'd just say that I'm the only voice. On the other hand most Indians know about as much about their own history as Californians know about their own history. So. I'd just say take a look at Indian history before you want to make snap judgements... and before you think India is indivisable read a few books.

I really have no agenda here. I get nothing that I can see out of my opinions. I have no money invested in India and having been "blacklisted" from India before for years I really risk having this whole cycle start again for having a "contrary opinion" to the prevailing view. Hell. This is freedom here Thomas. It just isn't practiced in India the way it is here.

My best to you,
