A few trades don't mean much. It's the long term success rate
of a given system. My dart board said Dell would close higher
yesterday. I would not make a succession of bets based on it.

TA is 50/50. There is no proof to the contrary. I used to
believe that TA would slightly tip the scales in your favor
but after years of study and application have found the
coin toss to be more reliable for day trades.

The fancier you get with TA, the more useless it becomes. Some
of the more reliable indicators deal simply with price patterns
and volume. Momentum indicators and oscillators are great for
summarizing the past but are of little value going forward.
Short term price moves are driven by irrational behavior.
Irrational behavior is unpredictable.

If you are a devout student or master of TA then you strongly
disagree. That's ok by me. Not trying to start an argument
about TA cause it's fruitless. Chuz has said everything there
is to say on this subject.

Here is a little TA. Pull out the 5min Bollinger bands on Dell.
Quite a narrow trading range... expect a pop. You can not
accurately predict the direction however.
A trader might want to implement a june straddle if the premiums are right.
