I2 and All: The short term game has changed significantly. UTEK short interest as calculated for May 15th is at 2.166m for a short position reduction of over 40% from the April 15th figure of 3.643m. Days to cover is at 8.5 down from a peak of 17. The short interest is down to what it was between November 15 and December 15 of 1997. Without the short support, UTEK must begin to trade on its own merits. I think the chances of getting to $18 again have increased significantly without this short support unless investors become more confident in the promise of 1999. I certainly did not see that in this sector last week.
