Looks like DJIA and S&P 500 are is an upward wedge which looks like it will meet at the 9000 magic number. I think I am starting to see market stats (some call market internals since it is a window to money flow in the market) to erode. TRIN switched from below to above 1 with an associated change in TICK that dropped in value. Traders do watch TICK and TRIN. Still breadth is good considering this down market and the volume is larger than I would expect. I have not check the new highs to new lows stats.

Lets see if the formula applies where eroding stats like the TICK and TRIN coupled with a market pivot point = program selling. The question here is how poor the market stats needs to be, or perhaps this is also coupled with a change in value over a period of time as was the case yesterday perhaps for timing purposes.
