To say the least, the Quake II results are shocking. HPC never anticipated that the K6-2 would come anywhere close to beating the Intel CPU at Quake II. However, the numbers do not lie; the AMD K6-2 is definitely a contender. AMD's new 3DNOW! technology is powerful enough to give the K6-2 a shot at victory in the Quake II arena.
