I concurr that it is a dead money and will liquidate a part of my holding. All I know market knows and that's what counts.

<< ... if you have concluded that it's dead money why not sell and move on with your life? >>

Good question. Once a knowledgeable investor finds out that they are holding, what they consider, is a bad investment, all the crying in the world won't substitute for taking a correct action.

Robert. With the current maniac market, many people expect instant reward from their investment. Perhaps expectations are higher than they should be.

I can remember holding onto a stock for over a year, at a loss, before Wall Street woke up and found it, and then it doubled. 100% profit is well worth waiting for, even if it does take over a year. <g>

I don't know how diversified you are, but in my diversified portfolio, if I have to hold onto LGND for another year or so, in expectations of a solid return on investment, I am willing to do that, as long as their science continues to be impressive.

Hmmmm!? On the other hand, I'd like my profits right now, damn it!!! <g>

Good luck, Bob

GO LGND!!!

That's a good question. Before I answer, why can't I conclude that LGND is dead money and why should that upset you?

My answer: I have pared down my interest in lgnd and moved my money elsewhere. I still hold a small amount cuz I understand that LGND is a long term hold --and I might possibly be able to pick up more at a better price. In light of what lgnd has put together, it is obvious the street doesn't care about lgnd, it's science at least not yet, or this board. It may possible be that the street would like to see lgnd get approval of a drug that actually has potential. Panretin for KS really doesn't have much potential. Most of you are very savvy with this stock and should know that KS won't put a lot of green in LGND's pockets. Should Pan. show effectiveness in other uses that have a bigger market and is prescribed off label, then we have a hidden gem.

And since I own the stock, that gives me a right to say anything I want about it. So there!
