I imagine that Farallon got a chance to unload some of their Ligand warrants. And maybe they covered some of their Ligand shorts while they were at it. For those who don't know. Farallon ended up with a big short position of Ligand stock and a even bigger long position of Ligand warrants as a result of a arbitrage play of shorting LGND and buying rights for the Allergan Ligand retinoid research company which later turned into Ligand warrants Ligand stock and cash. Andreas
