Hitesh, thanks for the excellent, excellent posts. The CSCO and LU propaganda in this pre-Supercom vaporware season was getting a little thick, wasn't it.

Hitesh, Well to be honest I don't have the RAS market share numbers in front of me I'd have to go do the research. I have no doubt that ASND has a large installed base of ports but the question I have is who now is selling the most ports. Does anyone have the latest unbiased data? As for ATM Switching. Yes, ASND has their latest product on the market. These products will be leap frogged by Cisco....then ASND will come out with a counter. This is very typical in this industry. If you're saying that ASND has nothing to worry about because CSCO isn't shipping yet then I suggest you like to live dangerously. CSCO should be worried about LU's announcement (which won't deliver product until 99) and so too should ASND be worried about CISCO's products being delivered in 2 months and again in Q199. What I hear you saying is that you're not concerned because ASND is already shipping a proven product. I'm not sure that's a wise investment strategy but to each his own... good luck! OG
