No need to apologize. I want to know who does what in order
to understand the bias of opinion.
Who do you design ASICS for? Might we encounter any of your
products in PC architecture?

I am unable to answer your question w/o divulging my place of work(
which I don't want to do at this moment). And, yes, you(or some people) do
"peripherally" encounter one of our products on PC's.
Regarding my biases, I think that PC's are a necessary evil since
they are ubiquitious, low cost and have lots of software. I used to
think of them as too unreliable for anything other than "toys", until
NT3.51 came out.
I know we have talked about Dell as a technology company, and I would
like to agree to disagree on that issue.
