Agreed but if they sold the P they will not get the dividedn either ... now say someone some the P or the dividend then the P is the only you can sell so 1.) they would not get dividend because they do not have it there account and 2> if they sold the dividend then they sold stock that does not exist and so they will have sold the P by mistake and still not get the dividend and if they sold it all then they are sold. Nothing like reading and understanding a news release. GB
