Mohan:

Amberish K. Diwanji's article is right on the money. His essay is carefully and correctly reasoned from beginning to end. Of course, he seems to be saying exactly what I've been saying on this thread for the last few days, almost point by point.

You know, don't you, that neither Pak nor India will simply "invade" the other? Whoever fires first will claim that for defensive purposes the other has forced them to strike pre-emptively. Listen to Peter. If this happens and it goes nuclear, tens of millions will die on both sides and large areas will be rendered uninhabitable for generations. Don't think for a minute that it won't hurt you. If a nuclear war between India and Pak breaks out the markets will drop 30% or more immediately and they won't recover for years. Life in India and Pak will be disrupted in ways you can hardly imagine for at least a decade.

VHP wants to build a temple to commemorate/honor the testing of nuclear weapons, heh? The depth of their perversity is thus revealed.
