Who is Diwanji?? JPR and all: I don't think he the enemy of the 'state' for taking an opposite view though unpopular it might be.First I thought he was a member of Indian Communist Party then I found out this:- Amberish K Diwanji Amberish K Diwanji is an assistant editor at Rediff On The NeT. Last year he became the only journalist working on the Internet to win the prestigious British Council Chevening Fellowship. Amberish began his journalistic career with the Indian Post, worked at The Independent, Bombay, and DSJ Television before moving to Rediff in June 1996. Most recently, The New York Times took note of one of his columns in a recent feature on the future of English in this country. It seems like he is a clever journalist who almost always takes the unpopular view, intentionally or not I can't say,you can check out his various articles over at Rediff. I don't agree with all that he is saying but I can live with some of the arguments he makes on some of the issues. Come to think of it I too like to take the opposite view occasionally if I can argue the points successfully just to make things more interesting. Anyway I do like to hear the other side just because I know I don't know all the questions and the answers if I know anything at all.I don't think he is an 'enemy' or a 'paki lover' just because he has different point of view.Boy I do sound like a Libertarian don't I?? <gg>
