Mr. Bill has a "monopoly" because he has worked his a** off and because he is supersmart and because he hires the supersmart. And
becasue he has had foresight and balls.
He does not "desire" a high pe, he deserves it(and gets it). msft
is not "a great software competitor". Lets face it. MSFT is IT!

For example, if CPQ, Gateway, et al implement a BTO model as efficient as Dell, and improve customer service, what edge does Dell have left?
