I'm sure that Cyrix pays nothing to AMD for 3DNow and that it is not a normal licensing agreement. In order to get Cyrix to agree with AMD's limited 3DNwo spec, that AMD had to give up something. Anyway, the Cayenne will have an enhanced FPU & AMD's 3DNow instructions (similar to the WinChip2, but faster). This should make it much faster than the K6-2; similar to Katmai, where you start with a powerful FPU and then add specialized 3D instructions.
