Here's the gist on the KBH news: LOS ANGELES, May 5 /PRNewswire/ --- Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation (NYSE: KBH - news) today announced that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding an offering of $150 million (plus an over-allotment option granted to the underwriters) of FELINE PRIDES(SM) and capital securities. FELINE PRIDES(SM) are units consisting of (a) a contract under which the holder is obligated to purchase common stock from the company approximately three years following the closing of the offering and (b) beneficial ownership of either dividend-paying capital securities issued by a business trust subsidiary of the company or U.S. treasury securities. Proceeds from the offering will be used to repay outstanding indebtedness under the company's bank credit facility and for general corporate purposes, including potential future acquisitions.
