Tony. Just logged on to post some news. If you think that the spin on Intel is cracking you up, how about this?

Intel is delaying Merced until mid 2000. Reported on CNBC just moments ago.

What do you think?

I don't think this is good news. Intel down to 70 on Instinet.

I am not quite sure why it should go down some more after the market closed. This was known earlier today. I have not been on since yesterday and did not know about the delay in Merced.

Since my return from a short vacation, I have only read part of the posts and have not been on the main Intel thread yet.

I have been reading your first post about the Intel meeting and am looking forward to the rest of the posts. Hm, they certainly are doing a job on our Intel. New 52 week low.

Sonny

Hi Tony. When I posted to you I had just kind of scanned over it. I was in a hurry to put this delay of Merced to mid 2000 on. Yes, those talking heads on CNBC are rarely as excited to put good news out on Intel as they are when it comes to bad news. And I do believe this is not very good news to have this delay. This stuff, along with the threat from the GVT, could make for more than just 2 more slow qtrs. I hope Intel has something else under their sleeves. Good thing they are coming on stronger in networking.

Anyhow, I better finish reading the posts. I still have only read one post from you about the Intel meeting. This was kind of exciting you meeting Paul and Carl. You said that Paul was shorter than you. How tall are you? gg. I am not on the tall side myself. gg.

We had a couple days of nice weather in NC along with some days of rain. But in Maryland we have great sunshine since I returned. I am sorry to hear that you all still have rainy weather out there. Even more though since my daughter from Seattle will be visiting her old stomping grounds in the Dana Point area this weekend. Visiting friends. But at least you did not have 1 inch hail.

Let us know what you think about this new development in Intel. I guess I try to make it to the main thread also and see what Paul E. has to say.

Have a nice weekend.

Sonny

P.S.

Glad to see that, when there was not much to talk about, you all passed the time with some jokes. gg.
