I think the MXi will be saleable, even at relatively low clock rates (which I expect). The problem with profitability lies in the complexity of the chip and the yields they are going to get. I'm very worried about the potential yields.

What make you think Cyrix can't add a L2 on cartridge like Intel does.. really Cyrix already has a northbridge and southbridge courtesy of the MediaGX. All they need to due is add some glue logic and a couple of cache rams..

(I think I've said this before).
