Could you be thinking of AST? I think they were taken over by NEC.

John, an aqaintance of mine bought an AST P-60, right when the Pentium first came out. It had the most moronic Win95 shell called "Navigator"...completely hid Explorer.. I showed him how to remove the shell and replace it with Explorer..had to go to sys.ini if I remember right.

He was amazed, because he hadn't known Win95 Explorer even existed prior to that...He felt like AST had done him a disservice.

Good point. And when we consider how easy it is for computers to crash, perhaps they'll be sorry they didnt just accept Win98.
From all you've heard, are we still on target for Win98 coming out on June 15th? Gates did up the date ten days from the 25th, didnt he?
