Thanks for responding Chris.
I'm one of those who buy and hold DELL . . . but, I have noticed a trading pattern it gets into. I don't yet have the tools or confidence to trade it. Except I did sell in the 90's after the run-up on expectation that it would drop 15 to 25 points and mark time before the next run-up. I'll watch your stuff and try to learn something.
Jack

INTC and semis

Message 4643026

ATMI ... wow, what happened?

chris, INTC is not a valid example for a comparision of buy/hold vs trading over one year time horizon, the time horizon must cover at least one cycle. INTC is a cyclical and if one catches it at the trough in the cycle and holds ... them's the breaks.
