Stephen, Forgive my ignorance, but could you explain the proposed ECI/VOCLF large 'gateway' to me. (The one due to be released 1Q 99). This seems to be more than a 'traditional gateway' to me and more an integral component of the system as you described Lucent, etc. in your post. Any insight would be appreciated. Hi Temp, Thanks for the observations and the kind words. I bookmarked Ken's page when I came across it in one of your Ftel posts,and had been there before on occasion. Re: computertelephony.org In the memo he cites some of the same issues that have been posted here and in the Last Mile Thread, at times, over the past year or more, from a slightly different perspective. It is particularly interesting and even gratifying to some extent, to see the confirmation of some of the same issues. Also, I find it interesting to see the CTI topics integrated with the WAN element, as a means of broadening the coverage. It adds some relief to these sometimes myopic eyes. Rather eclectic assortment there, I'd say. Regards, Frank Coluccio
