Yes, your predictions there have been good, Zeev.

I think the dislocation in currency exchange rates is not as stable a situation as you think -- though I am not near as well-versed in economics or currency exchange. I know that there are nonlinear forces at work that can't just swing one way. I can't see the dollar staying this strong against other currencies 6 months from now. What will change things, I don't know, but I am convinced they will change.

I hope our equity markets don't collapse, but I believe prices aren't sustainable. I like to save the predictions of others not to poke fun but for entertainment. Four weeks ago I was convinced that there would be a dramatic downturn in stocks by the end of June. I'm not making any more predictions but will continue to be biased in my investments or speculations toward a downturn this year.

Zeev,

<<then you'll hang me on my own pettard>>

As long as you are going to line up for the punishment, should it come, you may as well know what, specifically, that punishment is. It is actually said to be "hoisted" by your own petard. A petard was an explosive set to crash a wall or gate. To be "hoisted" by one was to have it blow up in your face, which, of course, gave your remains a moment of flight (or the appearance of being hoisted as if by a rope) before they came crashing back to the ground in smoking ruin. I for one do not wish to witness such a sight and wish you (and me) bon chance in your prediction.

With tongue embedded in one and both hands covering the corresponding other cheeks I remain in the fray;
Best,
Stitch
