michael schurr:
I am not a physician and I would like a doc to respond to these observations.
1. How much better could the ICOS drug be than Viagra? In what respect?
2. Unless ICOS teams up with a major pharm co. they wouldn't have a chance of
competing on a marketing level would they?
3. If you were a doc would you rather prescribe a PFE drug or a relatively unknown?
4. From a cost perspective could they be as competitive?
Responses welcome! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

1. Viagra is only 60-70 % effective - any other med would have to be mighty good but there is room for improvement.
2. A great product from a well run small company certainly would be able to take on the mighty PFE and compete very well in this huge market.
3. Docs RX what they consider the best, safest and sometimes the most cost effective meds. Or maybe the safest before best sometimes.
4. Who knows what another med might cost to manufacture. It may be 1/4 or 4 X the price of Viagra.
Time will tell. If the drug is in phase II study there is a long way to go to prove the long term outlook for ICOS.
