"A NEW PARADIGM" Or "Will the Internet be the undoing of OIL?" Or "will technology unravel the old school oil paradigm?"

It may just be possible that we are headed into a new paradigm in oil consumption worldwide. With the event of the internet, more and more people are getting hooked up online and doing their surfing from the comforts of there own homes. This eliminates the need for the high consumption of oil from driving that we have normally seen.

Will the technological revolution undermine oil consumption worldwide. We are seeing record builds of oil inventories and lower than expected consumption.

Add to that the fact that technology has made it vastly cheaper and easier to get oil out of the ground, and we may have a massive paradigm shift happening right before our eyes that will blindside the oil industry and catch the world by surprise.

Are the days of $19 oil gone for ever or will the worlds consumers once again bask in the glory of mass oil consumption and high oil prices. Will oil prices ever recover or will we soon have massive supplies of $5 oil. could it be possible that technology has fundamentally altered the cost of crude?

Food for thought . Just rambling on about some things that came unexpectedly to mind
