Thanks James--very nice clarification of your views and strategy. I appreciate your taking the time to share them with the thread.

I very much empathize with your delemma re getting in on the irrational market drops versus protecting yourself from weakness in the broader market. I let the latter concern govern my thinking after STMC, one of my holdings, posted excellent results on Tuesday after the close despite unwarranted panic selling earlier in the day. Sure would have been nice to buy more at the lower cost basis.

Then again, I've also found that it's often best to not only not try to catch falling knives, but to not hold on to them through the stages of a spasmodic drop. For small cap investors especially, I think your rule is an attractive one.

So many small caps are sitting at attractive valuation levels, I find it's hard to know how to best deploy available capital. :)

SIRN remains on my "short watch list" (as I mentioned earlier on this thread, I bailed in the high 7's after the action looked iffy.) Seems to me the recent weakness has had much to do with the broader market.

Thanks for keeping us appraised of your thinking on this.

Regards,

Dave
