As they say, information is power. I work for a company that takes a similar approach to disseminating information (I won't disclose the name since I am using my real name on this thread). Everything is confidential. Information that is released is carefully orchestrated so that it has the right spin. Only a few things are truly confidential and their release would injure the company's competitive position. Restricting information is usually an exercise in control i.e., employees, shareholders etc. PS. As one of those shareholders who got hit when Motorola cut back orders a few years ago, I am a little skeptical. TFS has a short horizon on revenues.
