You want to prevent people who don't agree with your politically correct views from voting.

If you only understood what the term "politically correct" meant, then you would understand that you represent that viewpoint. Anyone seeking to limit voting to just the informed would be "politically incorrect", just the opposite of what you contend.

Gee, that's news!

The poll tax prevented blacks from voting. Both are discrimination.

You brought up the poll tax, not I.

Do you know what a democracy is?

Yes, and you apparently are so sadly uninformed as to believe that the US is an actual democracy. We have a republican form of government, with a representative system that uses mostly democratic methods of election. Franchise has been limited and extended throughout US history. Felons still can't vote in most elections. Anti-democratic.

In fact, the US government was set up to limit not only the power of government, but also the power of the people to act and effect change rashly, hence the division of power into three branches, one (Judiciary) totally unelected and 1/2 another (Congress), with elections staggered (Senate). Both were anti-democratic in intent and design.
