Maxwell,
"How cheap can I get a Slot 1 at 100MHz FSB? $99?"

Sorry about the best you can do on a BX mobo is $159.
These kids don't want a lowly LX mobo anyway. Got to have the latest.
Even though there is virtually no speed advantage for 100MHz bus on Slot one.

I realize you're not really sorry about this. <G>

Jim

Maxwell, <2.1V or 2.3V are still OK. If existing MB doesn't have this
voltage then you must buy a new MB.>
This is not entirely true. If a board has a variable
secondary power source for CPU core (all recent boards
do this), there is a simple way to adjust the voltage.
For a reasonably educated EE, it takes to remove or replace
or add a SINGLE resistor. Sometimes it can be done by
setting jumpers in parallel, or adding resistors instead
of jumpers. Just look at the feedback wireing, that's it.
