How do you arrive at this conclusion? During past downturns AMAT has lost $$ and has had zero visibility. AMAT is now in the position to be profitable at nearly any run rate and the visibility is poor now, but we know that .18mu, Cu, and 300mm are not too far away. If you want to talk about horrendous downturns, look to '86. I was not an investor then, but I understand from those who were that that was a ba**breaker. This is mild by comparison.
