Dave_S, re:Option Greeks Software

You may want to give McMillan's software a try. (I have no first-hand experience with his software, although it appears reasonably priced.)

optionstrategist.com

If you're willing to throw down some serious coin, you might consider OptionVue or Omega's OptionStation. My experience with each of these has been good (currently using OStation), but you may find these packages to be overkill.

Hi dave_s; I regularly get whipped playing
options, so I've sworn them off.

Basically the spreads are too large to make
money.

Interestingly, the action of selling a covered
call gives an equivalent position to selling
an uncovered put, but with larger commissions.
Thus it is not as efficient as the uncovered
short put position, except possibly for taxes...

In any case, you have these horrible spreads
to deal with in options.

Best of luck,

-- Carl
