Good morning Frank,

Thanks for posting the article. It's always good to hear another opinion. However, some of the comments that were made show a clear lack of understanding as to why the Wave concept has not taken off yet. I would submit that as the proliferation of cable and ADSL modems occurs, we will see the true value of a wavemeter system. Additionally, the entire concept is predicated on one fact...WIDE DISTRIBUTION. It would appear that we are on our way in regards to this point. In regards to the concept of pay-per-use...the analysts may want to read the recent comments made by someone called Bill Gates when it comes to this topic.

Sincerely,

Jas

Dear Doc:

Your raise a sensible question. Here's my first reaction.

Every time I swipe my credit card at a gas pump, a little bit of information about my whereabouts and my patterns of behavior is transmitted over a network. Every time I use my credit card to pay for dinner, or lumber, or a new refrigerator, very useful marketing and other information is transmitted.

I admit that these losses of privacy represent "costs" to me. But they are outweighed by the benefits of convenience, flexibility, and efficiency. So I use my credit card.

So will I use my WaveMeter. I just don't count it as a very large marginal loss of privacy.

Best wishes,

24601

Frank..

Yep! I'd be just as "critical" in my thinking if their arguments were lacking consideration important to balance. (which is the rule in pressed news print and media) I like my analysis replete. That's why I like this message board better than all the rest... Your contributions are very much a part of it.

Your friend,
